Kuersche Duo at the Schuhfabrik Culture Summer!
Sophisticated music and captivating audience animation, serious lyrics and humorous entertainment - the multi-talented KUERSCHE cannot be pigeonholed. KUERSCHE is constantly reinventing itself. On Saturday, August 2 from 8 p.m., he can be seen live with his trio on the open-air stage of the “Schuhfabrik-Kultursommer!”.
He is an “all-rounder” who wowed tens of thousands as a one-man band supporting Fury In The Slaughterhouse with just vocals and guitar. First and foremost, the Hanoverian sees himself as a songwriter. And as such, he already has a number of successes to his name: He scored a mini hit with “More & More”, released on the label of Fanta 4 manager Bär Läsker. KUERSCHE also released the CD “I'm Here” there and played support for Fanta 4, before touring Germany with Nena. KUERSCHE then went on tour with some Fury musicians as his backing band.
KUERSCHE has played support for Fanta-4, Nena, Runrig, Ronan Keating and Bob Geldof. After the successful years with “Kuersche and Members of Fury in the Slaughterhouse”, KUERSCHE is on the road with the current album - “Wooden Chandelier”. Very British & back to the roots, Kuersche opens a new musical chapter. He is accompanied by Sebastian Salas on drums. Together they create a musical symbiosis of generations and let KUERSCHE shine in a new light.
The Beatles are a high benchmark in Kuersch's life and you can hear it immediately in his music; it is the British music scene and its diversity that he has become addicted to, which still shapes and inspires him today. It is sometimes reminiscent of the early works of Joe Jackson, but in the here and now it is bands like Two door Cinema Club, The Wombats, Bombay Bicycle Club or Razorlights.
His songs are British, melancholic, ironic, light and enraptured. It reflects the simple life in one of these fairground mirrors. It stretches, distorts and makes you laugh. Kuersche has his very own perspective. He tells of the everyday and yet offers new insights. His flair for composition is fearless, relaxed and timelessly beautiful. Kuersche is not only a good musician, but also a good entertainer. After more than 1500 concerts, he knows how to entertain and inspire his audience.
Admission is possible from 7.30 pm. The concert will take place on the open-air stage in the direction of the parking lot. Admission is free, the Schuhfabrik is happy to receive donations. In case of bad weather, the concert will take place in the hall.
The "Schuhfabrik Culture Summer!" is kindly supported by Volksbank Ahlen, Sparkasse Münsterland Ost and the Stadtwerke and takes place within the framework of the project "Third Places - Houses for Culture and Meeting in Rural Areas" funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
