N-XT open the Schuhfabrik Culture Summer on Local Heroes Friday
This year, there will be more Schuhfabrik Culture Summer on the weekends, because the Fridays will also feature performances. These are under the motto "Local Heroes" and feature popular bands from Ahlen and the surrounding area. The two musicians Axel Ronig and Wolfgang Brand are responsible for the selection and execution of these concerts. The kick-off will be on July 11 at 8 pm with N-XT and a musical journey through time.
N-XT play their own interpretations of songs that were written from the 1980s to the turn of the millennium. Songs by U2, The Smith, The Cure, Depeche Mode, David Bowie, The Clash or Eurythmics make it clear where Eric Folts (vocals), Ron Pennings (drums), Jochen Franke (bass) and Ralf "Icke" Romberg (guitar) musical hearts beat. This is evident in their live concerts, because N-XT presents their personal selection of hits with tremendous energy and passion.
N-XT thrills the audience with songs that are rarely played and that the band interprets with its own signature style. The audience travels back in time to the predominantly British music scene of the 1980s to 1990s. The power and optimism of these songs is palpable at N-XT's live concerts. The sound of the band is like a red thread that runs through the evening. "You recognize the song, but you have the feeling it could also be by N-XT," smiles Eric Folts.
So if you don't just want to hear the TOP 40 songs from the era mentioned above, but also those that have only burned into your musical memory after the third or fourth time on the long players, an N-XT concert is the place to be.
Doors open at 7:30 pm. The concert will take place on the open-air stage towards the parking lot. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. In case of bad weather, the concert will take place in the hall.
The "Schuhfabrik Culture Summer!" is kindly supported by Volksbank Ahlen, Sparkasse Münsterland Ost and the Stadtwerke and takes place within the framework of the project "Third Places - Houses for Culture and Meeting in Rural Areas" funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
