25 Years of Eric Fish & Friends - Album "AUF DEN GRUND"
For 25 years, Eric Fish (singer of Subway To Sally) has indulged his passion for acoustic songwriting. With various musical collaborators, he has created eight albums and a film. Throughout all these developments, one thing has remained constant: his curiosity about the complexities of life and their manifestations in people's minds and hearts. This curiosity has given rise to well over 100 songs.
On Friday, February 6th, starting at 8 pm, they will be performing live at the Schuhfabrik venue as part of their tour for their latest album, "Auf den Grund" (Getting to the Bottom).
"Auf den Grund," fittingly for the anniversary, is a retrospective of Eric Fish & Friends' early years. It features 14 newly recorded songs, now presented in a modern sound with bass and drums.
It's no surprise that these older songs seem untouched by the passage of time. Their music transcends the observation of a single moment and always culminates in a message that brings a quiet, hopeful smile to the listener's face.
Eric Fish & Friends are Eric Fish (vocals, guitar, bouzouki, cinco, pipes), Gerit Hecht (piano), Rainer Michalek (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Friedemann Mäthger (drums, percussion, vocals), and "Mu" Murauer (bass).
Tickets are available in advance for €27 at the community center pub until Thursday and online at events.schuhfabrik-ahlen.de until the Tuesday before the event without additional fees. Tickets at the door cost €35. You can also order tickets from Eventim, which will incur additional fees.
