"Sherlock, John & Mycroft" as a live radio play from Theater ex libris with Christoph Tiemann!

(This Event is hold in German!)
Sherlock Holmes has a brother? Oh yes - and he even puts his little brother's genius in the shade! On Saturday, 3 October, the Theater ex libris will present another live radio play of its Sherlock trilogy with Christoph Tiemann in the Ahlener Schuhfabrik from 8 pm (doors open at 7.30 pm).

This time, the ex libris theatre weaves Conan Doyle's short stories "The Dancing Men", "The Second Stain" and "The Greek Interpreter" into a multimedia, thrilling live radio play. London, July 1881. Dr John H. Watson is astonished to learn that his new roommate has a mysterious older brother who also works for Her Majesty's government. On Mycroft's mission, Holmes and Watson travel to Norfolk to get to the bottom of strange symbols, and soon after plunge into a political crisis on which the future of Europe depends ... A scenically coordinated image projection also visually transports the audience to Victorian London; the improvised live music underlines the mood of every moment. Christoph Tiemann is a passionate and lively speaker and reader.

He enjoys the language, celebrates its rhythm, colour and melody and makes this enjoyment tangible for his listeners. He skilfully varies tone and tempo - so he always succeeds in taking the audience on a journey through the text. Tiemann has been an author and speaker at Westdeutscher Rundfunk for more than ten years. Since 2014, he has also been in front of the camera for WDR television with his series "Tiemann testet".

An ensemble of extremely versatile speakers, live music and carefully selected images tailored to the plot – this is the recipe with which the Theater ex libris brings literature to the stage as live radio plays. For ten years now, the ensemble has been transforming books into acoustic theatre under the direction of the actor and cabaret artist Christoph Tiemann. The motto: an analogue pleasure in digital times.

This event takes place within the framework of the project "Third Places – Houses for Culture and Encounters in Rural Areas" and is funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
